If you are going to owner build or DIY a Force 10 steel house then it is recommended that you utilise an accredited Force 10 trainer to assist you with the construction of your kit home. It may only mean the services of one accredited person for a few days. If you and your friends have reasonable skills, then you should be capable of providing the remainder of the labour required for the work. It is important that you learn the tips and tricks required for a speedy and successful construction of these prefabricated homes. So the investment in a Force 10 trainer is well worthwhile.
In Queensland, if you want to be an Owner Builder you need to be registered with the local government authority before you can build a kit home. Otherwise you have to engage a registered builder to direct the work and sign off on the paperwork, and then achieve the approval of a local building certifier before the Local Government will issue you with an occupancy permit. Force 10 has builders who you can engage to help you in this process.
