Force 10 first building system to achieve Codemark approval in Australia

Following 18 months of rigorous testing, Force 10 is the first and only building system in Australia to be awarded the CodeMark Certificate.

CodeMark is a new building product certification scheme managed by the Australian and New Zealand Federal Governments via the Australian Building Codes Board and New Zealand’s Department of Building and Housing and gives users the confidence that Codemark certified building products comply with all relevant Building Codes.

Tested throughout the world

The Force 10 system has been rigorously tested by accredited authorities in Australia and overseas for extreme weather conditions including cyclones, hurricanes & high winds, earthquakes, fires & floods. It has also been tested for pest resistance against destructive insects such as termites. Our structural insulated panels have also been tested for their thermal (insulation) properties and sound proofing ability.

The system has been tested by CSIRO (Australia), BRANZ (New Zealand), Architectural Testing Service (USA), Veritas (France) and by leading universities in Australia and the USA, including QUT, UQ, JCU and the University North Carolina, to fully determine its outstanding capabilities. In addition, the system has been checked by structural engineers in Australia, New Zealand, France, Japan, England and USA, and determined to be in compliance with the standard building codes of each country.

Already Cyclone, Hurricane and Earthquake Resistant, Force 10 now achieves highest Fire Resistance rating

We are constantly upgrading and improving the Force 10 product, and having it tested against new standards that are released by government authorities. For example, we recently tested our product for fire resistance and achieved the Bush Fire Attack Level Flame Zone, the highest fire rating in Australia. The Force 10 system passed this test with flying colours and we can claim to have one of the most fire resistant building products available on the market in Australia.

Over 3,000 houses and buildings have been built using the Force 10 system, many of which have directly withstood the fierce intensity of cyclones, hurricanes, and earthquakes. Time and again Force 10 buildings have resisted everything that mother nature has thrown at them. Force 10 has never ‘lost a roof’ anywhere in the world. Over the years some Force10 houses have been subjected to up to 5 cyclones or hurricanes (in places like the Caribbean), and are still standing today, while other buildings have been totally destroyed.
